About the YPS Indicators Project

Our project is dedicated to advancing the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agenda worldwide. Working with youth peacebuilders from across the world, we co-created principles for developing YPS indicators and designed indicators that help monitor, evaluate, and learn from YPS implementation. We believe that when young people lead the development of indicators, they help drive sustainable and lasting peace and meaningful empowerment.

Our Team

Senior Lecturer in the School of Government and International Relations at Griffith University, Australia. She is the Diplomacy and Governance Hub Lead at the Griffith Asia Institute, and a member of the International Working Group on Youth, Peace, and Security at Folke Bernadotte Academy. She has recently completed an Australian Research Council DECRA Fellowship which examined youth leadership and inclusion in the context of the emergent global ‘Youth, Peace and Security’ agenda. Her work draws on feminist IR, critical peace studies, and the sociology of youth to explore representations and participation of children and youth in peace and conflict, everyday peacebuilding, and local-global relations in peace and security governance.

Youth-Led Indicators Report for the YPS Agenda Released in Four Languages

Following a year-long research effort involving 109 youth peacebuilders across 40 countries, we have published a four-language report detailing the core principles for designing youth-led indicators for the Youth, Peace and Security agenda. We are deeply grateful to the youth peacebuilders whose contributions were essential to this work.
